Rupali Ganguly starrer Anupamaa has been the top TV serial. A few months back, the show took a big leap. Many new actors like Shivam Khajuria, Adrija Roy, Randeep Rai, Rahil Azam, Alka Kaushal, Manish Goel, Spreha Chatterjee and others entered the show. Spreha Chatterjee plays the role of Mahi in the show. We have seen how Mahi is madly in love with Prem and does not want to accept the fact that he is married to Rahi. Mahi’s obsession for Prem keeps growing.
Spreha has been appreciated for her performance as Mahi. The actress has now opened up about her daily routine on the sets of and how she has got good help from Rupali Ganguly and others for her scenes. She spoke to BollywoodLife about her day on sets and said, “A typical day on set comprises some regular routines of hair, makeup, wardrobe and practicing dialogues. The most awaited meal time is total fun where the dining table becomes mini-India with all sorts of different tastes enriched with togetherness and laughter. The driving force for me to come to the set is my passion for acting. Days sometimes can be long, intense, and tiring but always creative, collaborative, and rewarding and full of new experiences and learnings.”
She adds that this helps the cast in performing better as well. She also opened up about one super intense breakdown scene where Rupali helped her. She shared, “Good performances are made up of talent and hard work but at the same time they are also an outcome of a supportive environment where you are being motivated and your efforts are being valued. When people are supportive and genuinely happy to see each other succeed, it lifts your own performance. I remember one of my super intense breakdown scenes for which I was a little nervous but Rupali ma’am and director sir just gave me so much encouragement that I ended up delivering one of my most honest performances.” This is a big story in and .
Talking about on screen chemistry, she says, “Good chemistry with your co-actors is extremely important and it can be easily felt and seen by the audience too. Good chemistry builds up a comfort level and trust. You feel open to have healthy conversations with your co-stars about the scenes and share your ideas that ultimately results in much better and much more confident performances. Fortunately, I’ve been lucky to work with co-actors who have become good friends, and it really shows on screen.”
