Rupali Ganguly starrer Anupamaa recently took a generation leap after which Shivam Khajuria, Adrija Roy entered as the lead couple. In the recent episodes, we saw Prem and Rahi’s wedding finally getting fixed. Prem’s family entered the show and we saw so many twists and turns. The Kotharis are rich yet arrogant people. Moti Baa and Parag have an orthodox thinking and they have agreed for the wedding only because they believe Rahi can bring Prem back to his family. Moti Baa wants Rahi to be a housewife and only look after Prem and the family.

However, Rahi has big plans to take ahead Anu Ki Rasoi. She wanted to study ahead but Moti Baa tells her to do so after the wedding leaving Anu worried. Anu does not want Rahi to go through the same issues she faced because of Vanraj and Leela. However, Anu believes Prem is not like Vanraj and will always support Rahi.

The wedding preparations happen where Moti Baa keeps insulting Anu and her family. However, they all remain quiet for Rahi’s happiness. Amidst this, we also see Mahi is still in love with Prem and hopes that he will be hers. She keeps creating issues.

She recently wore Rahi’s haldi outfit after which Prem got confused and hugged her thinking its Rahi. Anu saw this and got angry on Mahi. In the upcoming episodes of Rajan Shahi’s , we will see Anu questioning Mahi for this. She will ask her to be in limits and accept the fact that Prem is Rahi’s life partner. Anu will tell Mahi that she does not want Rahi’s life to be like her mother.

She will tell Mahi how Kavya had come in between her and Vanraj and now she does not want Mahi to become another Kavya. She will tell Mahi to go back to Kavya or stay in some hostel. Mahi will apologise to Anu and request her not to do so. But, Anu will not listen as she does not want anything wrong to happen. This scene of the show became a big story in and .

On the other hand, we will see Rahi’s biological father’s entry during the haldi. He will tell everyone that Rahi is a bar dancer’s daughter. Moti Baa will then cancel Rahi and Prem’s wedding. She will question Rahi’s upbringing and end all ties with her.

Prem will get angry and slam his family for their thinking. He will take Rahi to the temple to get married. However, Rahi will not get married and will tell him that she cannot get married without the family’s consent. She will try to explain him that they cannot stay happy without their family’s love.

Prem will get angry on her and accuse her of changing colours after knowing he is Kothari’s son. He will tell her that she is only thinking of the Kotharis and not about his love. He will leave the temple in anger and will see the Kotharis and Anu reaching there. He will then announce that he is leaving the Kotharis forever as he does not need their name or money.
