For the sake of her daughter, Anu is doing her best to make best arrangements, to keep up with the status of the Kotharis. Recently, the mehendi ceremony took place, and Anupamaa arranged for everything yet faced humiliation over the preparations. She was made to serve drinks to guests. The tension peaked as Kotharis decided to stay with the Shahs.
Due to a theft at the Kothari mansion, Parag Kothari (Rahil Azam) and family decided to not stay in their home for safety reasons. They then took shelter in the Shah house. Anupamaa () arranged for men and women to sleep separately. Parag is unable to sleep. He winds up sleeping next to Prem. In sleep, Prem () talks about father. He says that he used to consider Parag as his hero and that he was happy to see him playing cricket. He also says that Parag was the one to teach him to play cricket. However, he also mentioned about the strained bond now. Parag holds Prem and falls off to sleep. In the morning everyone is happy and surprised to see them together.
