The Adam J Graves film managed to win million of hearts with their storyline and plot. As Oscar 2025 Nominations were announced, Priyanka Chopra, Guneet Monga’s Anuja was shortlisted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) and fans beamed with joy.
Anuja, the Oscar-nominated short film will premiere on Netflix and it will be released soon as they want Oscar voters to see it. According to the latest announcement on the OTT platform, Anuja will stream soon. The OTT platform will soon be premiering on Netflix by sharing a clip from the movie. As per reports, ANuja was made after a lot of research and the short is presented in collaboration with several community partners including Mira Nair’s nonprofit organization Salaam Baalak Trust. Sajda Pathan has been one of the beneficiaries of the Trust who is the lead actress in the film. Never Have I Ever creators Mindy Kaling and Priyanka Chopra who are the producer and executive producer came aboard.
Writer-director Graves in a statement said, ‘Anuja is a heartfelt tribute to the resilience and untold stories of working children, highlighting their joy and hope amidst challenges. The film captures the innocence and magic of childhood, brought to life through collaboration with Salaam Baalak Trust and the insights of NGOs such as the Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation and Save the Children.
