The actress addressed the same recently while speaking in the Live Love Laugh Foundation Lecture Series on World Mental Health Day 2024.
As reported by several portals, the Piku actress said that during her debut film Om Shanti Om, there were several bad reviews. But one negative review pushed her to work on herself. The review criticised her accent, diction, talent, and capabilities. “Negativity is sometimes a good thing; it’s what you make of it. The larger picture is what do you do with that criticism and how do you look at it positively,” DP stated.
Further, Deepika Padukone also talked about self-love and how she makes time for herself and takes weekends off. She finds it bizarre that people think those who take time off for themselves are not driven. “If someone needs downtime or time for themselves, they think this person is not motivated enough so let’s look for someone who is ready to burn the midnight oil, because that person is hard-working and so committed,” said the actress.
