The ongoing controversy around refuses to die down. Following public condemnation and legal troubles, after guest ’s controversial remarks on the show, host and comedian Samay Raina had confirmed that he’d deleted all episodes from YouTube.
An Instagram user, @raptile_sayzz, had recently shared a video which had compiled all those episodes that haven’t been aired yet. The user further revealed that several popular names including Uorfi Javed, Farah Khan with comedian Tanmay Bhat, Mallika Sherawat with Bigg Boss winner Munawar Faruqui, Yuzvendra Chahal, Dalip Tahil and Ashish Vidyarthi had already recorded episodes.
Bhuvan Ban was another celebrity whose episode also hasn’t been aired yet.
Fans of the show have been irked and disappointed and frustration over the deleted episodes. One fan wrote, “I know he will not come, but I will still wait.” Next post read, “Kam se kam OG episodes toh release hone dete bewafa logon.” Another user wrote, “Time travel kar sakte kya? Ek scene cut karwana hai bas”. Most of the unaired episodes had already been shot, and it included Mallika Sherawat and Munawar Faruqui’s episode from January 2024. Also in the list is Yuzvendra Chahal’s episode from November 2023, and Dalip Tahil and Ashish Vidyarthi’s episode shot in December 2023. It hasn’t been confirmed yet if these episodes will be aired ever.
On Wednesday, Samay took to his social media handles to state that the ongoing controversy is “too much for me to handle.” He wrote, “Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all India’s Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you.”
Samay’s post emerged a few days after Ranveer Allahbadia’s apology video went viral. The controversial video was taken from the latest episode of IGL where Ranveer was invited as a guest judge.
