Yes, we are talking about the big movies, Mela and Raja Hindustani. Aamir Khan’s movies are still very popular. Aishwarya was finalised for Mela but it was Twinkle Khanna who did that role. Twinkle starred in that movie opposite Aamir before quitting Bollywood.
Director Dharmesh Darshan recently confirmed that Twinkle was not the first choice for the film. He said that Aishwarya was the first choice for Mela. He revealed that the actress was his first choice for the role of Memsaab in Raja Hindustani (1996) as well.
He added that his heart was on but she urgently had to go for Miss World. He added, “I didn’t want to take any chances as I wanted an actress who could devote her full time to the film and Bollywood. It was her sheer grace that she didn’t hold it in her heart.” He also spoke about Aishwarya’s cameo in the film and appreciated her for doing a small role.
However, Mela had failed at the box office that time. Raja Hindustani was a big hit and it had Karisma Kapoor opposite Aamir Khan. The director revealed that Aishwarya was the first choice for the movie. Currently, she was in the news for her divorce rumours with Abhishek Bachchan. A lot has been said about their family.
