Bollywood actor Aamir Khan recently opened up about his long-cherished dream project, ‘Maha Bharatham.’ During an interview for the Oscar promotion of ‘Lapatha Ladies,’ he shared his thoughts on what is stopping him from attempting the dream project.
Aamir described it as a project close to his heart, one he has envisioned for many years. He acknowledged the immense responsibility and fear of adapting such a monumental epic.
“This story is in our blood as Indians. The responsibility to do justice to it has only grown over time,” he shared. He aspires to create the film on a grand scale, showcasing India’s cultural heritage and making every Indian proud.
Aamir revealed that he is unsure if he will do the project himself but emphasized that he would be a part of it. Since the release of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ in 2022, he has taken a hiatus from acting but now seems ready for a strong comeback.
On the other hand, he co-produced Laaptha Ladies with his ex-wife Kiran Rao. The movie has been officially selected as India’s entry for the 2025 Oscars, earning widespread acclaim.
