Rowdy aka Vijay Deverakonda teamed up with director Rahul Sankrityan for his next film. Tentatively titled VD14, the makers released the first look poster. The film marks the reunion of Vijay with Rahul after Taxiwala. Just like how Taxiwala is different, the new film is also being made in a different genre.
The first-look poster depicts that the film tells the story of a warrior between the years 1854 and 1873. The poster showcases the warrior from the back as he sits down to meditate. Since it is Vijay’s birthday today, the team announced the project officially by releasing the poster.
Rahul Sankirtyan is known for making horror dramas and period entertainers. So far, he tasted hits. Now, he is coming up with another period entertainer which reportedly has a lot of interesting elements. Vijay is currently undergoing a dull phase and he needs a hit badly. In this scenario, he is already doing a period drama Kingdom. Again, Vijay took up a period action drama.
If Kingdom does not live up to the expectations, it may impact this new film but the makers are confident about the film doing well. The regular shoot of the film will begin soon.
