Reliance Foundation launched homes for senior citizens, children without parental care and differently abled persons in a 100 acre plot at Karjat, Maharashtra, on November 1, 2026, according to a statement on the X handle of Reliance Industries.
Named “Nita Mukesh Anant Ashray,” the project will be a township with a capacity to house 15,000 people including residents, medical professionals, support staffs, and their families. Around 1,000 people in the neighbouring villages are expected to access therapy, education and employment from the initiative, the statement read. The township will house eight residential villages.
“We envision a community where compassionate care and medical support come together with the warmth of family life, where people live, surrounded by nature, with opportunities to learn, work, make friends, and experience the joy of festivals and celebrations,” said Nita Ambani, Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation.
