Snacks brand Troovy on Tuesday said it has raised ₹100 crore in a Series B round led by Fireside Ventures, with participation from Sharrp Ventures and other investors. The better-for-you snacks brand said that the funds from the latest raise will go toward expanding R&D and manufacturing capacity, scaling distribution across quick commerce and offline channels.
Founded by Mansi Baranwal and Aditya Mukherjee, the brand offers products such as clean label ketchups and seasonings, vacuum-cooked potato chips and vegetable and millets-based chips. It said it will also be accelerating the “Build Together” model to launch a much wider range of products with families and innovators across India.
Ankita Balotia, Principal, Fireside Ventures, said “Troovy grew 5x in the eight months following our last investment, and that is what made us double down. The team has executed incredibly well on growth, and the backend supply chain, and the NPD and R&D DNA has only strengthened, from snacks to cookies and now milk mix. Troovy keeps raising the bar on what a better-for-you product can be.”
Aditya Mukherjee, CBO and Co-founder, Troovy, said, “This backing is a vote of confidence in a model most food companies don’t use: building with the people who’ll actually eat what you make. When you build with users, you have to push innovation, because users don’t settle. It’s not enough to replace the oil and sugar; you have to reduce them dramatically. It’s not enough to remove preservatives; almost no synthetic additives should enter the product. And it’s not enough to be clean; the bar on taste and nutrition stays high.”
