Shree Cement reported a 15 per cent fall in its September quarter net profit to ₹263 crore against the ₹310 crore it logged in the same period last year, largely due to higher cost. Revenue increased 24 per cent to ₹5,897 crore (₹4,761 crore). EBITDA was up at ₹1,016 crore (₹974 crore).
Sales volumes were also up 14 per cent y-o-y to 10.52 million tonnes.
Consolidated EBITDA per tonne declined 8 per cent y-o-y to ₹966 from ₹1,055, primarily due to elevated fuel prices. Sales of premium products in India operations jumped to 29 per cent (21 per cent) of the total trade volume.
Neeraj Akhoury, Managing Director, Shree Cement, said the higher sales were supported by deeper market penetration, enhanced customer reach and disciplined execution across operations. The continued focus on premiumisation was reflected in premium products contributing 29 per cent of trade volumes, underscoring the strength of brands and customer relationships, he added.
Backed by initiatives to gain market share and a disciplined approach to cost and efficiency enhancement, the company is well-positioned to deliver sustainable and profitable growth in the quarters ahead, he added.
