Hotel Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts reported 27 per cent year-on-year growth in net profit in second quarter FY27 on the back of strong demand for luxury travel and contribution from meetings and events segments.
Net profit for Q2 FY27 stood at ₹94.6 crore compared to ₹74.7 crore in same period last year. Revenue from operations rose 33 per cent year on year to ₹411.9 crore led by 30 per cent growth in average daily rates. Earnings before interest tax depreciation and amortisation rose 36 per cent year on year to ₹187 crore.
The hotel chain said the increase in room rates was supported by strong demand across segments and suite occupancy rose by 700 basis points. Demand was further bolstered by marquee events such as the BRICS Summit in Delhi, it said.
The company’s Chief Executive Officer Anuraag Bhatnagar said the results reflected strength of demand for differentiated luxury experiences and its pricing power. “The demand was broad-based across retail, corporate and leisure segments, supported by strong demand for our suites and our ability to command a premium during marquee events,” he said.
The hotel chain has a portfolio of fifteen properties and pipeline consists another 10 properties with over 1,000 keys. “The company remains focused on optimising its capital structure and financing costs while preserving ample liquidity to support its expansion pipeline and strategic initiatives,” it said.
