Drug maker Natco Pharma on Friday said its board of directors has approved the issuance of equity shares through a rights issue to raise up to ₹1,279.35 crore.
According to a regulatory filing, the company will issue up to 1,70,58,082 equity shares of face value of ₹2 each at an issue price of ₹750 per share to raise an amount not exceeding ₹1,279.35 crore.
The rights issue has been approved at the entitlement ratio of 2 rights equity shares for every 21 fully paid-up equity shares held by eligible shareholders as on the record date, which has been fixed as October 1, 2026.
The rights issue is scheduled to open on October 12, 2026, and close on October 22, 2026. The on-market renunciation period will run from October 12 to October 16, 2026.
Upon full subscription, the company’s outstanding equity shares will rise from 17,91,09,870 shares to 19,61,67,952 shares post-issue.
The board also approved amendments to the company’s code of conduct to regulate, monitor, and report trading by designated persons during its meeting held on Friday, the filing added.
