Upasana Kamineni Konidela has been designated as the Director – Projects of healthcare major Apollo Hospitals.
As Apollo embarks on its large scale expansion plans, she will work with Apollo’s leadership, clinical teams and project partners on the planning and delivery of hospital projects across India, the company said on Thursday.
Her priorities will include new facilities, expansions and upgrades to existing hospitals, and consistent design standards across patient spaces. Working with project teams, she will focus on clear signage and wayfinding, easier navigation, efficient clinical spaces and a more comfortable experience for patients and their families. She will also support stronger project processes, reporting and coordination from design through opening.
Apollo’s current expansion plan has an estimated total project cost of approximately ₹8600 crore, including approximately ₹1,565 crore of listed brownfield expansion projects at existing facilities.
The programme covers projects across Hyderabad, Delhi NCR, Chennai, Mumbai and Bengaluru, alongside Lucknow, Varanasi, Indore, Guwahati and Ranchi, among other locations. Out of this, the particular projects and budgets within Upasana’s mandate are yet to be confirmed by Apollo.
