Marking another milestone in women’s empowerment and urban mobility, Royal Brothers, a leading bike rental platform, in partnership with MBSI (Moto Business Service India), a subsidiary of Yamaha Motor Co., Japan, successfully hosted the latest edition of its high-energy “RB for Women” bike-riding initiative in Kochi.
Designed to promote greater personal independence, the programme introduced participants to the stress-free handling of automatic, gearless scooters for everyday city travel, while also providing hands-on training to help them confidently ride geared motorcycles.
Royal Brothers launched its operations in Kerala this year and is currently present across four cities in the state. The Kochi edition witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 150 women. By the end of the session, participants had gained practical riding skills, received certificates of completion, and developed greater confidence to navigate urban traffic safely.
The initiative, which continues to expand across India, has now trained more than 1,500 women nationwide, equipping them with practical riding skills to take greater control of their daily commutes.
Under the guidance of professional trainers, participants learned essential riding fundamentals, including low-speed balancing, throttle control and response, emergency braking, and defensive riding and safety techniques.

The strong participation in Kochi reflects the growing interest in independent mobility among women across Kerala. Through initiatives such as RB for Women, MBSI and Royal Brothers aim to help address barriers to women’s mobility and make every day travel more accessible and independent.
