Nestle, the world’s largest publicly held food and drink processing conglomerate corporation, has recognised the long-standing relationship with PTC Group.
The relationship between both companies spans over five decades with close friendship between PTC Group’s founder Shree Prakash Singh and Ajay Pal Banga. Banga spent 13 years at Nestlé India, starting in 1981, where he worked across sales, marketing and general management roles before becoming President of the World Bank.
Started in 1974 when the founder moved from Kolkata to Patna. It began as a local distributor for Nestlé, Cadbury and ITC for cigarette and consumer goods sales across the entire Bihar region.
Singh, 75, continues to remain actively involved in the business, working alongside his grandson, Aditya Prakash Singh, who serves as Vice President.
The Group’s professional leadership is headed by CEO Sanjay Chakrabarty with over 25 years of experience and CFO Sudhir Shrivastav, a finance veteran bringing deep expertise and financial leadership to the organisation.
Nestle has recognised Bihar as the fastest-growing region for three consecutive years, outperforming major regions across India.
The scale of PTC Group’s journey is reflected in its cumulative business operations exceeding $1 billion.
Beyond Nestle, PTC Group has established longstanding relationships with Reliance, Castrol, Reckitt Benckiser, Ferrero and over a dozen leading national and global businesses, building a diversified distribution and supply-chain platform. Its distribution operations also handle about 100 million cigarette sticks annually, making it one of the region’s significant distribution networks.
From a friendship that began over five decades ago to a professionally managed business operating at a $1 billion-plus scale, PTC Group reflects a legacy built over generations.
