New Age Makers’ Institute of Technology (NAMTECH), a not-for-profit educational initiative of ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India, on Monday said it has joined hands with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) to build future-ready talent for India’s manufacturing and high-technology sectors.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to bring together SPPU’s academic strength and NAMTECH’s industry-integrated approach to education to advance workforce development and strengthen industry-ready talent for India’s manufacturing and high-technology sectors, NAMTECH said in a statement.
The collaboration will establish a framework for joint initiatives and will work towards creating stronger linkages between academic learning, industry requirements and emerging technology applications.
“We are proud to join hands with Savitribai Phule Pune University to contribute towards developing future-ready skills in the semiconductor and high-technology sectors. Partnerships between academia and industry are critical to building the talent India needs for its next phase of growth.
“We look forward to doing meaningful work together in the years ahead and creating greater opportunities for women in engineering and technology education,” NAMTECH Board Member Kedar Tambe added.
