GV Prakash is one of the top music composers in South India who balances the art of acting and scoring tunes. He is not new to the Telugu audience, as he has previously composed music for films such as Ullasanga Utsahamga, Darling, and others. But somehow, GV is attracting a lot of demand these days, which seems unique, and there is a solid reason behind him getting a lot of chances in Telugu.
Usually, it is either Thaman or Devi Sri Prasad for Telugu films, but of late, Anirudh is also getting opportunities. The fact is that the audiences are bored and are expecting a change in the music space, as it is getting monotonous with the same composers working on back-to-back films. There is also an opinion about the lack of versatility. Hence, the filmmakers started looking for chances and GV Prakash appeared like the ray of light amidst all this.
The interesting reason why GV is being chased by our filmmakers is that he is affordable and does not quote huge remunerations like his contemporaries. At the same time, he also does not spend too much time delivering the product. All these parameters have contributed to a growing demand where he has at least five films lined up in Telugu.
Ravi Teja’s Irumudi, Dulquer Salmaan’s Aakasam Lo Oka Taara, Srinivasa Mangapuram, Viswanath and Sons, along with Anil Ravipudi’s next, are currently in GV’s kitty.
Moreover, the success rate of GV is also good where his songs and background tracks always get attention. With the absence of regional talent in abundance, the filmmakers have to rely on GV but he is also elevating the film by his value adding contribution.
