Balayya’s birthday celebrations turned out to be more than just a fan festival. Along with wishes and celebrations, the day generated fresh excitement about the actor’s upcoming projects. More importantly, it gave a clearer picture of the interesting lineup he is building for the coming years.
Unlike the mass rooted backdrop of their previous collaboration, Gopichand Malineni appears to have chosen a pure Bombay based gangster drama this time. The glimpse presented Balayya in a fresh new age stylish avatar, instantly grabbing attention and raising curiosity about what the director has in store.
Interestingly, there were plans to unveil a small glimpse related to Balayya’s project with Koratala Siva as well. However, the makers reportedly decided against it to ensure that the spotlight remained firmly on NBK 111 and its promotional material.
Another development that caught attention was the meeting between Vivek Athreya and Balayya. The young director was seen along with Mythri Ravi, leading to fresh speculation that the project is indeed moving in the right direction.
There were doubts in recent months about the status of this combination. However, Gulte had already reported that the project was not shelved and remained very much on the table. The latest developments appear to support that version.
Meanwhile, reports from Tamil media suggest that Good Bad Ugly director Adhik Ravichandran is also keen on working with Balayya. It is being said that the director may begin developing a full script if Balayya gives his approval.
The timing may work in Adhik’s favour as Ajith is currently occupied with his racing commitments. That could allow the director enough space to focus on preparing a solid subject before formally approaching the project.
For a senior star hero, assembling such a exciting lineup is never an easy task. Yet Balakrishna seems to be doing exactly that. While some of these projects may take time to materialize, the overall picture looks promising and has certainly become a major talking point in Tollywood circles.
