Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas is coming up with his next film titled Pallichattambi. The film will have a release in Telugu and the dubbed version is also titled after the original. As part of the promotions of the movie, the makers released the trailer today which has a potential to become a hit, if promoted well.
The story of the movie is set in the 1950s. Billed to be an action thriller, the trailer promises commercial elements that create an adrenaline rush in theatres. Tovino plays the role of a saviour who leads a revolution against an oppressive law enforcement system in a village. There is a great scope for action and we have to see if this transformation from Tovino wins the hearts of Telugu audiences.
The movie is directed by Dijo from a screenplay by S Suresh Babu. Kayadu Lohar plays the heroine in the movie and the pairing is refreshing. The film also features Vijayaraghavan, Baburaj, Prashanth Alexander, Mridhul Mukesh, Midhun Venugopal, Nibraz, Eldho Mathew, Josekutty, Devika Anoop, Unni Raja, Johny Antony, TG Ravi, Sreejith Ravi, Sudheer Karamana, and Siddique, among others. Jakes Bejoy is the music director and the film.
Interestingly, the trailer is released at a time Tovino is in the news for making an exit from NTR-Prashanth Neel project. The actor confirmed that he was not able to allot bulk dates for the project, resulting in his exit from the movie. There have been mixed reactions to this decision and we have to see if the ongoing buzz will contribute to getting attention on Pallichattambi.
The film will have a grand release on April 10th.
