During an exclusive interview with Filmfare, Pavail opened up about people warning him before he signed Thappad. Speaking candidly, Pavail revealed that the worst advice came when someone, after reading the script of Thappad, told him not to do the film. He seriously considered following that advice but eventually chose to trust his instincts. He also revealed being a fan of Shah Rukh Khan. “I have been a ’90s kid. I have grown up on Shah Rukh sir. Not just onscreen, his offscreen interviews… Also, me and my friends tell each other that we come from ‘Shah Rukh Khan school of chivalry.”
