After the intense and hard-hitting teaser that was released in March, the just-released first single ‘Jo Laali Jo Jo ‘ has further raised the expectations for the upcoming social drama, 23. The makers unveiled Jo Laali Jo Jo to coincide with Mother’s Day.
The Jo Laali Jo Jo song is a melodious and poignant lullaby set in a hospital ward, and several beautiful montages follow where a mother takes her just-born baby into her arms for the first time. The deep and profound lyrics penned by Indus Martin are brought to life by playback singer Aditi Bhavaraju’s soulful rendition. The phrases like “Thommidu nelala alupu..Tholichulai velikoche” are a touching tribute to the mother-child bond in music director Mark K. Robin’s composition.
Going by the song, its characters, and setting, Jo Laali Jo Jo has a much larger significance in 23’s story than what meets the eye. Director Raj R., who showcased his directorial prowess in Mallesham, is ready with yet another thought-provoking drama with 23.
23 features an all-new cast, including actors Teja and Tanmayee in lead roles. Rana Daggubati is distributing the movie under his Spirit Media. The film is inspired by real-life incidents that took place in Andhra Pradesh in the early 90s, including the sensational Jubilee Hills car bomb case.
