Squid Game is the most-watched show on streaming giant Netflix. The first season premiered in 2021 and became an instant global success. Originally made in Korean, this dystopian survival thriller was dubbed in many international languages. After the sensational success of the first season, the second season premiered in 2024.
However, the second season couldn’t replicate the first season’s success. Many people opined that it was not as thrilling and intriguing as the first part. Now, the makers are returning with the third season, which is set to premiere on June 27. After the failure of the second season, we have to see if this third season will be able to succeed or not.
This morning, Netflix dropped the first teaser of Squid Game season 3, saying that player 456 returns for one final time. The teaser opens with staff in pink uniforms carrying a box towards contestants. Then, we get to see the protagonist Seong Gi Hun (Lee Jung Jae), who appears dead, wake up all of a sudden.
Despite the second season’s failure, fans are very much excited for season 3 and are hoping that it will be a great ending for one of the most-loved shows of all time.
