Director Raj R of Mallesham fame is coming up with yet another film. Titled 23 (Iravau Moodu), the film deals with caste injustice. Based on the real-life stories, the film shaped up, and the makers launched the trailer recently.
As per the trailer, the movie discusses the 1991 Tsunduru massacre and the 1997 bomb blast in Jubilee Hills. The narrator questions the injustice delivered by the court. And then, the narrative shifts to the story of a young couple with bigger dreams but no money in hand. Then, another massacre strikes, where a brahmin lawyer stands for the downtrodden community. He faces backlash, but the film’s story seems to revolve around the young couple and the injustice they faced.
The film reminds us of revolutionary raw movies like Osey Ramulalla, People’s Encounter, and others. However, Raj R, after 8 AM Metro, seems to be coming up with a high-intensity drama-oriented film that will provoke conversations about the caste system and the injustice being done to those underprivileged.
Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media and Studio99 have produced this intense drama, releasing on 16th May. Teja, Tanmai, Jhansi, Pawon Ramesh, Thagubothu Ramesh, and Praneeth are a part of the movie.
