As reported by PeepingMoon entertainment news portal, the makers have decided to tell a new story and have approached to play the male lead. So far, Kapoor has only agreed to the movie verbally.
The Haider actor is yet to sign a Cocktail 2 contract. But he is quite interesting in doing the sequel. Reportedly, the sequel will go on floors in mid-2025. After Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, this will be Shahid’s second film with Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. The report further mentions that Ananya Panday and Sara Ali Khan have been approached to play the female leads. Homi Adajania will return to direct the sequel as well.
A source stated, “Dinesh Vijan and Homi Adajania have been planning a Cocktail sequel for years. Now, they have crafted a storyline that captures the magic of the original while offering a fresh narrative. Shahid loved the story and is already on board, while discussions with leading young actresses are ongoing.”
