Lyricist-writer Javed Akhtar has often shared his dislikeness towards Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. Recently, he again expressed his displeasure towards the movie and compared the makers to “perverts.” Akhtar said that societies don’t move in linear manner and different things keep happening together. Like several subplots in stories, there is also a main theme, which one has to look at. Some subplots are good and some aren’t. Javed stated how society doesn’t change together completely, and some of them take slow steps while others are fast. In such a world, movies like Animal also exist.
